Can I perform my own status checks on the API?
No, we strongly advise against performing automated uptime checks from your own systems. Such checks cause unnecessary load on our servers and will lead to extra subscriptions costs for your account. Furthermore, performing these types of checks is not very useful: our own systems management is already automatically notified of any issues.
What we do recommend is implementing solid error handling and logging. Direct notifications to your own systems administrators in the event of a problem will help you detect and solve issues faster. Internal problems can be solved quickly, or you can contact us if needed.
